Theran Knighton-Fitt is the co-founder and Chief Humanising Officer at Mygrow, the emotional intelligence (EQ) development platform. A writer, speaker and filmmaker, he describes himself as “a storyteller of human potential.” Theran works at the intersection of people, performance and technology, helping organisations across sectors build EQ capabilities at scale so teams can unlock capacity, collaborate better, and deliver on their business goals.

His focus is culture, company character, and the interplay of the system and the agent: how values, behaviour and narrative identity shape the way people work together.

Drawing on psychology, social science and the wider humanities – often through simple metaphors drawn from everyday life – Theran effectively communicates the importance of EQ not as a “soft” extra but as a strategic business advantage, especially in a world increasingly shaped by AI. When emotional competencies are practised consistently, they rewire habits, strengthen relationships to measurably improve both personal and collective well-being and performance.

Theran is committed to building systems that value people as an ‘end’ in themselves – not merely as a ‘means’ to business outcomes. His personal purpose statement, “to realise humanity,” guides all his work. On a stage or in the boardroom, he equips leaders and teams with practical and inspiring content to turn culture from something you just talk about, to something you actively shape through leadership and healthy staff relationships built with emotional intelligence.
